Ao Students’ Union Dimapur.
Established in the year 1968 under the visionary theme “For the Nation” based in dimapur. ASUD is one of the largest student organisations in Dimapur. To provide platform to students for sharing their grievances and issues related to them so that the union can initiate steps and actions for the welfare and betterment of the student’s community.
Rooted in the values of unity, responsibility, and social consciousness, ASUD has consistently played a pivotal role in representing and safeguarding and the broader community in Dimapur.
Our mission extends beyond academic. ASUD is deeply committed to promoting education, cultural preservation, youth empowerment, and social justice. Over the decades, the Union has evolved into a vibrant platform that voices the concerns of the people, advocates for positive change, and encourages the younger generation to lead with integrity and purpose. Guided by our founding principle “For the Nation,” we strive to build a community that upholds dignity, justice, and progress not only for the Ao community but for society at large. Through various initiatives, campaigns, and partnerships, ASUD continues to uphold its legacy as a responsible and forward-looking organization that stands at the forefront of student activism and public service.
The union has so far organised various awareness camps, seminars, literacy camps, career counselling, annual sports week and even national marathon for the student’s community to identify raw talents and skills.
